I believe that all healing is self-healing. When our higher self aligns with our heart and is rooted to our Earth journey, transformation occurs.

Visiting with Grandmother Oak, Claymont WV

Deeply sensitive and highly skilled in clairsentience, clairaudience and clairvoyance, I am an intuitive energy healer, herbalist, writer, teacher and death doula. I currently spend most of my time in western Washington state, in the Puget Sound watershed of the Salish Sea. I also live in western piedmont North Carolina in the Yadkin watershed flowing from the Blue Ridge to the Atlantic Ocean.

My approach to healing is inclusive and respectful and based on deep listening. Along with my natural gifts and developed skills, it combines ancient wisdom with contemporary science. I acknowledge with my whole heart that physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing are all deeply interconnected.

Guided by a sense of each client’s innate wholeness, I share my gifts and skills with compassion and respect. I walk my own healing journey each day.

Earlier in my life, I worked in a variety of human service organizations dedicated to community care, and then I co-ran a yoga school for many years.

I was raised in western piedmont North Carolina, close to where my ancestors arrived from Ireland, Scotland, northern England, France and Germany. Since childhood I have had an interest in healing, history and folklore, poetry and music, and inter-species communication. I graduated from Salem College (Winston Salem NC) and attended graduate school at UNC-Chapel Hill and Wake Forest University.

I have a lifelong commitment to learning in many realms. I hold the following: Healing Touch Certified Practitioner, Reiki Master, Holistic Herbalist (Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine) and End-Of-Life Doula (Larner College of Medicine/University of Vermont Continuing Education).

Why is it called the Blue Ridge?

The forests that cover these rocky protrusions are predominately made up of spruce and fir trees and these trees emit terpenes into the atmosphere (why your Christmas tree smells so good) which interact with light thus creating a distinctive blue hue.
